A team of dedicated professionals will be working behind the scenes to provide the hospitality services needed for the proper functioning of the facility (meal preparation and serving, cleaning and laundry services and more).
In addition to running the conference centre, this
team will provide a host of on-site activities for women.
These include leadership seminars for teens, community service projects with students and workshops on family and home management.
Jobs and Professional Training
The hospitality team will offer jobs and professional training opportunities to young women in high school and post-secondary programs. These students will come from the area and from across the country. Through one-on-one training, classes and hands-on experience, they will learn new skills while acquiring Christian principles and virtues enabling them in turn to enrich the lives of others.
The staff also provides a model for homemakers by promoting homemaking as a true art and profession. The care with which the hospitality team attends to household tasks helps create what St. Josemaria Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei, called a bright and cheerful home.
The work of the staff is indispensable to the proper functioning of the conference centre. The hospitality team will thereby help to improve society by sustaining the thousands of people who will attend activities there.
